Our approach
This is not therapy and it is not generic coaching. It is practical, focused work that improves how you think and how you lead.
We act as a critical friend. We listen carefully, challenge assumptions, and tell the truth. We have your back, and we will push you further than you think you can go.
Coaching, mentoring, or both?
Many clients benefit most from a blend.
Executive coaching
Coaching strengthens your thinking, behaviour, and leadership impact. It helps you step back, see clearly, and lead with greater intention.
Executive mentoring
Mentoring brings experience into the room. It is direct, practical guidance and challenge, informed by leaders who have been there.
A blended team around you
We often match clients with a small Amicus team, mixing coaches and mentors to suit what you need. That gives you different perspectives, sharper challenge, and faster progress, while keeping the work cohesive and focused.
The Amicus coaching method
Our coaching is delivered one to one, by a team of experienced coaches, mentors, and operational leaders. Our approach is guided by our Head Coach, Anny, who is a coaching psychologist and accredited executive coach with over 25 years’ experience working with executives, board directors and is consistent across the Amicus team.
We work well in high pressure environments where leaders need to stay composed, communicate clearly, and hold a standard. We combine experience-led challenge with behavioural science to help leaders respond more skilfully when things are demanding.
A core element is psychological flexibility, an evidence-based set of skills that helps leaders stay focused on what matters, manage internal pressure, and respond effectively in complex situations. It provides a practical foundation for resilience, calm authority, and better conversations.
What this looks like in practice
We focus on skills that are simple, usable, and immediately applicable:
- Mindset and behaviour under pressure
Notice patterns, reduce unhelpful reactions, and make deliberate choices that improve credibility and leadership impact. - Coaching as a practical method for influence and development
Build everyday coaching habits such as being present, listening with intent, asking purposeful questions, and developing others while keeping standards clear. - Resilience and adaptive self-management
Strengthen the ability to stay steady, manage pressure, and deliver clear messages with confidence. - Reflection as a disciplined practice
Use a simple structure to review actions, understand impact, and adjust quickly.
Optional 360 feedback, if it will add value
Where it will help, we can include a 360-degree feedback process to give a clear view of leadership impact and how others experience you. This can sharpen the focus of the coaching and accelerate progress.
The process typically includes:
- Selection of 8–15 raters
- Survey distribution and analysis
- A feedback session to interpret the results
- Integration of insights into the coaching plan

Who this is for
We work with:
- C-suite and senior executives
- High potential leaders stepping into bigger roles
- Founders and entrepreneurs carrying responsibility and pace
- Leadership teams who want stronger performance and alignment
Employer-funded and private clients are both welcome.
Formats
Executive coaching or mentoring

Why Amicus
Amicus is trusted by leaders and organisations because we bring hard won operational leadership experience and a direct, supportive approach that gets results quickly. We are brought in when leaders need to act, not just talk through theory.
Clients value our ability to cut through complexity, challenge what is getting in the way, and help them deliver better outcomes faster.
